Fruity Plugin Optimiser: sort out FL Studio's plugin menu in minutes
Fruity Plugin Optimiser is a new Mac and Windows app from KYXXX that cleans up FL Studio's plugin database: it removes dead and duplicate plugins and sorts your plugin menus by maker or type, with a live preview and one-click undo.

Open a mixer slot in FL Studio and you get the plugin menu: every plugin you've ever installed, in one giant list. Waves and UAD add a Mono, a Stereo and a Mono-Stereo copy of everything, the list runs off the edge of the screen, and plugins you deleted years ago are still in there. Sorting it by hand means dragging shortcut files around one at a time.
Fruity Plugin Optimiser does it for you. Point it at FL's Plugin database and it gives it a health score, then lists what's wrong: missing plugins, duplicate shortcuts, plugins in the wrong folder and sync-conflict copies. Fix it all in one click. Then choose how you want your menu: folders by maker, by type or both, one shortcut per plugin in the best format for your computer, mono versions tucked into a sub-folder and your favourites pinned to the top.
You see the result in a copy of FL's own plugin menu before anything changes, and every change is snapshotted, so you can undo it at any time. It's perfect if you've just got a new laptop and don't want to spend two days organising, or if you haven't touched your plugin menu in years.
Fruity Plugin Optimiser is £14.99 (down from £39.99), a one-off payment with a serial for 2 computers, on Mac and Windows.
